About the Festival
Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra is organizing the Music Forum Hradec Králové in cooperation with Czech Radio 3 – Vltava. The purpose of the festival is to create a representative panorama of works from the 2nd half of the 20th century and early 21st century. The festival has already established itself on the Czech music scene and is increasingly becoming well-known abroad. Due to their attractiveness and top performance, the concerts are broadcast live by the Czech Radio and also transmitted by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to its network. The dramaturgy is based primarily on orchestral and a large-scale works of contemporary world artists; music is interconnected with modern technology, with light-design, and with video and digital transmission technology. The vast majority of compositions performed at the festival is heard in Czech premieres. In the past years, the Music Forum Hradec Králové introduced such luminaries of world music as Krzysztof Penderecki, David Geringas, Tatiana Grindenko, Vladimir Tarasov and Lauren Flanigan.
